City of IRB to Resume Special Pick-Ups

The City of Indian Rocks Beach is pleased to announce the resumption of its Special Pick-Up Program, designed to assist residents with the disposal of certain bulky household items. The program will resume on May 4, 2026. This program is not the free Citywide pick-up, this program is for any large item that neighbors may need picked up. There are no specific days, it is as needed. The free Citywide pick-up will resume in August, there are no further details at this time.

This service includes the collection of items such as discarded office equipment, broken furniture, mattresses and box springs, empty cans, small metal parts from minor repair work, and other materials that can be safely lifted by two personnel. Please note that motors, large repair parts, and other heavy materials are excluded from this service.

In cases where the volume of materials is unusually large or exceeds typical residential amounts, the City Manager may authorize removal for a nominal fee. This fee will be determined based on the quantity of materials and the associated cost to the City, with a minimum charge of $50.00.

The following items are not eligible for Special Pick-Up and must be removed by the property owner or responsible contractor:

Concrete blocks, bricks, and construction debris

Roofing materials, including shingles and tiles

Debris from land clearing or construction activities

Materials resulting from the building, rebuilding, or alteration of structures, roads, sidewalks, or similar projects

The City appreciates the community’s cooperation in helping keep Indian Rocks Beach clean, safe, and beautiful.
