CITY HALL WILL CLOSE AT THE END OF BUSINESS TODAY, MONDAY, OCTOBER 7, 2024, AND WILL REOPEN WHEN SAFE TO DO SO-SOLID WASTE SERVICES WILL RUN NORMAL ROUTES TODAY, MONDAY, OCTOBER 7, 2024, AND TOMORROW, TUESDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2024. THERE WILL BE NO SOLID WASTE SERVICES ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 9, 2024, OR THURSDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2024. DEPENDING ON STORM DAMAGE ASSESSMENT, SOLID WASTE SERVICES WILL RESUME ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 11, 2024.
Effective Sunday afternoon, October 6, 2024, the Florida Department of Emergency Management announced that anyone can take storm debris to the Pinellas County Solid Waste Disposal Facility via the 34th Street Gate. There is no charge for storm debris disposal and that gate will be open 24/7 until operations are shut down by Hurricane Milton.
BEGINNING TOMORROW AT 8:30 AM, OCTOBER 7, 2024, THE CITY OF IRB WILL PROVIDE SAND AND SANDBAGS TO IRB RESIDENTS-SUPPLIES ARE LIMITED-BRING A SHOVEL
WE HAVE PAIRED WITH OUTSIDE CONTRACTORS & BEGAN DEBRIS PICK-UP. PLEASE NOTE THAT UNDER CURRENT FEMA REGULATIONS, THE CITY OF IRB IS NOT PERMITTED TO PICK-UP STORM DEBRIS FROM COMMERCIAL MULTI-FAMILY PROPERTIES, DEVELOPMENTS ON PRIVATE PROPERTIES, OR ANY DEVELOPMENT THAT HAS AN HOA. IF YOUR PROPERTY FALLS WITHIN ANY OF THE ABOVE CATEGORIES, YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO OBTAIN A PRIVATE CONTRACTOR FOR STORM DEBRIS REMOVAL.
