This program includes all recreational programs and services sponsored by the City of Indian Rocks Beach, and is under the general supervision of the City Manager, with substantial assistance provided by the Public Services Director and other senior staff members. In October of fiscal year 2003, the City of Indian Rocks Beach joined a recreational services cooperative with Indian Shores, Belleair Beach and Belleair Shore. In order to provide active recreation programs in our area, the Cooperative entered into an agreement with the YMCA of the Suncoast. Operating subsidies necessary to underwrite the cost of programs not paid through user fees are allocated between the communities participating in the Cooperative. Many other special events are conducted or sponsored by the City including:
